Herbal Ingredients

  • Astragalus Root – Astragalus Root has a long history of use in traditional and Chinese medicine. It may encourage your body’s healthy heart, liver and kidney functions. Astragalus root is often taken as a life-prolonging herb, as it supports healthy immune functionality and may have an effect on the signs of aging as well.*

  • Reishi Mushroom & Mycelia - Reishi (sometimes called Lingzhi) mushrooms have been cultivated and collected for medicinal purposes in China for over 2,000 years, making it one of the oldest known medicinal mushrooms. Reishi is thought to be a potent immune system stimulator, and can promote cardiovascular health as well.*

  • Shiitake Mushroom & Mycelia – Shiitake mushrooms are native to East Asia. High in bioactive polysaccharides, Shiitake mushrooms may support a healthy immune response, in part by potentially promoting antibody production.*

  • Echinacea Angustifolia Root – Echinacea strains have long been used by Native Americans for a wide variety of medicinal purposes. Although not confirmed with empirical evidence, there is a widely-held belief that Echinacea can promote an increased immune response which in part can lessen the duration and severity of cold & flu symptoms.*

  • Pau d’Arco Bark – Native to South America, the bark of this tree is traditionally brewed into a tea during cold and flu season and is thought of as a widely-successful treatment for fungal infections, including Candidiasis. The active compounds have antibacterial and antiviral properties as well as traditional use as an antifungal treatment. Pau d’Arco is also available in raw form.*

  • Suma Root – Suma Root (also called Brazilian Ginseng or “para tudo”) root comes from a South American ground-growing vine taken by natives as a cure-all for everything from immune system response to libido. A potent adaptogen, Suma can energize your body against the sapping fatigue and exhaustion associated with fever and sickness.*

  • Eleuthero Root – Eleuthero is a woody shrub native to Northeastern Asia. Traditionally taken to prevent infections and reduce the impact of stress-related illnesses. Eleuthero may promote energy and can potentially reduce fatigue from illness. Eleuthero has been utilized as an anti-nausea treatment as well.*

  • Licorice Root – Licorice is often used in candy, but has been utilized by traditional Chinese medicine for years. Licorice can promote healthy digestive, liver, and inflammatory functions in the lungs – and there is strong evidence that supports its proposed ability to modulate airway constriction, ease respiratory difficulty and provide relief for bronchial problems and pet dander allergies.*

  • Cat’s Claw Bark – Some of the active plant compounds in Cat’s Claw Bark may have attributes that promote healthy inflammatory and antioxidant responses. Cat’s Claw can also be taken to support your body’s natural immune system, and to promote stomach and digestive health.*

  • Maitake Mushroom – Native to Northeastern Japan as well as North America, Maitake is rich in minerals such as potassium, calcium and magnesium as well as several different vitamins and amino acids. Like other mushrooms utilized in traditional medicine, Maitake may support an invigorated immune system and may promote a healthy inflammatory response as well.*

  • Schisandra Berry – Native to China and Far East Russia, Schisandra berries are thought to promote stamina and help your body naturally fight fatigue. The lignin plant compounds which lend Schisandra its medicinal properties are concentrated in the fruit, or berries. Schisandra is often prepared as a tea, and supports a healthy immune response as well.*
