Pau d’Arco is native to South America, where it is taken as a remedy for fungal and yeast infections, eczema and other illnesses. Traditionally brewed into a tea called Lapacho, Pau d’Arco contains Lapachol and beta-lapachone, two active compounds that (among others) lend the plant its medicinal properties.
