Herbal Ingredients

  • Yerba Santa Leaf – Also called Hoja Santa, Piper Auritum is used in traditional Mexican recipes and cuisine and has been utilized to promote healthy respiratory response in the presence of congestion.*

  • Osha Root – Growing only in the highlands of the Rocky mountains, Osha root may sooth the intestinal tract, promoting nausea relief. Osha may support healthy immune system response, especially if taken at the onset of a cold or flu.*

  • Usnea Lichen – high in vitamin C, Usnea lichen was once used to treat wounds before modern antibiotics were available. In fact, Usnea has been used for medicinal purposes for at least 1600 years. Usnea promotes a healthy immune system response in the presence of bacterial and microbial stimuli.*

  • Echinacea Angustifolia root – Echinacea strains have long been used by Native Americans for a wide variety of medicinal purposes. Although not confirmed with empirical evidence, there is a widely-held belief that Echinacea can promote an increased immune response which in part can lessen the duration and severity of cold & flu symptoms.*

  • Lomatium Root – Native to Western North America, Lomatium was used frequently in the early 1900’s during influenza outbreaks, largely due to its use by Native Americans. Lomatium root may promote the body’s natural immune system response and may support bolstered recovery from viral infections – especially if ingested frequently and in small doses.*

  • Pau d’Arco Bark - Native to South America, the bark of this tree is traditionally brewed into a tea during cold and flu season and is thought of as a widely-successful treatment for fungal infections, including Candidiasis. The active compounds promote healthy immune response in the presence of bacterial, viral and fungal stimuli. Pau d’Arco is also available in raw form.*

  • Goldenseal Root – Goldenseal is native to Southeastern Canada and Northeastern United States. A potent alterative, Goldenseal can support the body’s natural immune system against bacterial maladies of the throat and digestive tract – and may promote healthy gall bladder function as well.*

  • Shiitake Mushroom and Mycelia – Shiitake mushrooms are native to East Asia. High in bioactive polysaccharides, Shiitake mushrooms may support a healthy immune response, in part by potentially promoting antibody production.*

  • Myrrh Gum – Prized in ancient Mesopotamian cultures, modern myrrh is still used as both a spice and a medicinal plant. Along with promoting thyroid health, myrrh can support healthy digestion, especially if taken between meals.*

  • Propolis – Propolis isn’t an herb at all, but a resin made by honeybees to reduce vibration and prevent the spread of fungus and infection within the hive. Propolis may support stronger immune system response, and may possess potent antifungal & antibiotic attributes as well.*

  • Licorice Root – Licorice is often used in candy, but has been utilized by traditional Chinese medicine for years. Licorice can promote healthy digestive, liver, and inflammatory functions in the lungs – and there is strong evidence that supports its proposed ability to modulate airway constriction, ease respiratory difficulty and provide relief for bronchial problems and pet dander allergies.*
